Associate Tõnis Loorits criticised Estonian FIU in press
Associate Tõnis Loorits represents 8 companies who filed a lawsuit against the procrastination tactics of the Estonian Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU). FIU is an independent institution in the area of government of the Ministry of Finance.
The suspension of licensing procedures for virtual currency service providers and the recent supportive position of the Minister of Finance in this regard have led several market participants to court against the state. Tõnis Loorits, as a representative of 8 applicants and a specialist of cryptocurrency service licenses, gave his comments on the passivity of the FIU, which were published by Postimees (link to the article in Estonian here) and Delfi Ärileht (here).
