FORT advised Venture Capital Fund ZGI Capital in respect to Investments in Joint-Stock Company Biotehniskais Centrs

AS Biotehniskais Centrs, which is the leading manufacturer of bioreactors and other specialized equipment for biotechnologies in the Baltics, has raised investment in the amount of EUR 200,000 from venture capital fund ZGI Capital. The investments will be used for the working capital and development of novel, innovative products.

FORT advised venture capital fund ZGI Capital throughout all stages of the transaction, and performed legal due diligence among other, as well as drafted and negotiated all documents associated with the investments.

ZGI Capital is a fund management company, which currently manages a fund comprising EUR 10.5 million and formed in collaboration with state-owned development finance institution Altum. This institution uses financial instruments (loan facilities, guarantees, investment in venture capital funds, etc.) to provide state aid to certain target groups.

The FORT team was headed by Ramona Miglane in Latvia, and it also involved experts of the FORT Latvia Office – Uldis Judinskis, Edgars Turlajs and Inga Grauzina.
