Partner Merit Lind explains the requirements of the new EU crowdfunding regulation in the publication Äripäev
On 20 October 2020 the new EU regulation on crowdfunding for businesses was published. The regulation will ensure a harmonised EU crowdfunding regime with the aim of promoting legal certainty as to the rules regulating crowdfunding activities across the EU member states.
On October 26, 2020 the leading Estonian financial newspaper and business news portal Äripäev published an analysis regarding the new crowdfunding regulation and discussed the topic in their radio morning-program. Alongside other experts, our partner Merit Lind gave her input regarding the topic.
In both the Äripäev article and the radio program, Merit provided an overview of the legal changes and explained what exactly the crowdfunding portals should expect after the new regulation comes into force: e.g. which internal rules need to be established and which additional obligations will arise.
