FORT successfully represents Chairman of NEPLP in a case against the Parliament of Latvia

On 8 July 2015 Saeima (the Parliament of Latvia) passed a decision on dismissal of Mr Ainars Dimants from the position of the member of the National Mass Media Board (NEPLP). Having reviewed the application of Ainars Dimants, on 23 December 2015 the Administrative District Court passed a judgment where it acknowledged the decision of Saeima to be unlawful and revoked it. The court concurrently satisfied the request of the applicant and established that the judgment shall be enforced immediately after its adoption, thus reinstating Ainars Dimants to the position at NEPLP. FORT Vilnius has advised EfTEN on acquisition of an office building in Vilnius

FORT Vilnius has recently advised EfTEN, one of the biggest Baltic real estate investment funds, on the acquisition of the office building on 11 Menulio street in Vilnius, Lithuania. Menulio 11 office building is located in Western part of Vilnius and has excellent connections to the city and airport which makes it a great location for commercial real estate. The total area of Menulio 11 office building is over 8 800 sq. m, office area makes up over 5 600 sq. m and the property has 136 parking places. The property’s main tenant is the local police authority.

On 24 November 2015 the Supreme Court of Lithuania has satisfied the request of FORT to renew the administrative case due to the material breaches of the substantive and procedural law made by inferior courts.
