Imagine you're playing a board game but the rules are a bit complicated. The Securities and Markets Stakeholder Group (SMSG) is like a group of experienced players who have given advice to the game's rule committee (the European Securities and Markets Authority, or ESMA) on how to make the rules for a new type of game piece (crypto-assets) under a big rulebook called MiCA.

On Friday, February 16, presentation of the book "Interest representation process. Explanations and comments" and a discussion devoted to lobbying regulation took place, in which one of the book's co-authors Arturs Caics from FORT took part.

The Supreme Court clarified in its decision on January 15, 2024, the weighing of conflicting interests between environmental protection and cultural heritage. The Minister of Culture established a protection zone extending to the reservoir for the Linnamäe dam structure, which falls under cultural heritage protection.
